A beautiful Grade II listed Georgian town house situated in the market town
of Kirkby Stephen
Dating from 1750 The Old Croft House has retained much of its original charm and character with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
Kirkby Stephen is surrounded by spectacular countryside and enjoys an enviable position between the Yorkshire Dales and Lake District National Parks with the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty a short drive away. It was the first “Walkers are Welcome” town in Cumbria and is on the route of Wainwright’s Coast to Coast path and also the Walney to Wear cycling route. There are excellent walking and cycling opportunities locally and the area has an amazing range of flora and fauna, with four nature reserves within 5 miles of Kirkby Stephen.
On arrival relax with a tea or coffee and homemade cake of the day either in the tranquil walled garden where you can enjoy the sunshine and look out for the parrots which fly over frequently, or in the winter by a roaring fire in the lounge.
We take great pleasure in welcoming our guests to The Old Croft House and will do everything we can to make your stay, however long or short, a relaxing and enjoyable one.
